Testimonials

Two years ago my horse contracted EPM, which is a neurological disease that attacks the brain and spinal cord.  I tried everything that I knew to rehabilitate him.  While he was getting better, he was nowhere  near the horse that he had been.  So when I met Lu I thought that maybe the massage and acupressure would help make him more comfortable but I wasn’t sure that it would help solve the problem.  I have never been more wrong in my life.  Every time Lu worked on him, he exceeded my expectations.  He is now not only showing again, but placing at “AA” shows.  Without Lu’s help I don’t think that my horse would have ever reached his full potential again.

“I always use Performance Equine Transport for my horses, whether it be a quick trip to the vet or long distance travel to a competition. The horses are always happy to get onto Aaron’s trailer, and kept comfortable along the way. As a result, they arrive at their destination in great condition. Aaron is fantastic to work with – providing updates on the horses from the road, checking on everyone throughout the trip, and knowing how to accommodate all of the horses different needs.”

“I wasn’t sure if acupressure could help my horse’s allergies, and have been so happy with the results! After managing with desensitization shots and diet changes, another outbreak of hives had me really concerned. I wanted to exhaust all options before turning to long-term medication. Since our first meeting, I have been impressed by Lu’s common sense approach. She asked detailed questions about our management scenario, then offered additional environmental change ideas along with advice on effective supplementation. During treatment sessions, she was patient and safe with my youngster and took time to explain the “why” of each step. Most importantly, acupressure improved the condition of my horse – she is now looking gorgeous and hive-free!”

“I cannot say enough about the benefits of Lu Garnas’ massage therapy. The work Lu does on my horse is always fantastic – loosening up his back end, shoulders, and neck – and encourages him to use his muscles correctly. He always feels and moves better after work by Lu.  In fact, Winston cannot wait for Lu to arrive. He actually leans into her hands as she massages him, basically thanking her for the work she is doing!”

“Dr. Flint at Montana Equine Surgical Center suggested Lu would be the best person to help me manage my horse Max’s feet after he foundered.  She helped me to rehabilitate Max’s health holistically; managing his diet, exercise, and feet; with caring, compassion, and a natural talent for horsemanship.  She didn’t just work on Max’s feet she taught me how to help Max heal.  I had to move away from Gallatin Valley but before I left, Lu made sure I had the skills to take care of Max, and now he is a happy, healthy, horse.  I had been riding my horses barefoot for four years before I met Lu, but now I have a better understanding of barefoot trimming and can do it myself.  She continues to be a great help to me as I learn how to manage my horses’ feet and health on my own.”

“I heard about Lu from Rod and Lisa of the Circle L Arena at the Horse Expo. My horse gives me 110% for my competitions in Cowbly Mounted Shooting and I wanted Lu to check him out. Luckily, I have a very athletic horse but he has powerful hind quarters. Lu has been working on this and other vital parts and has worked wonders. I have invited Lu to my Halloween Barrel Bash Oct. 23-25, 2009 and I hope you barrel racers give her a try and also give your horse a treat. She might find something that your not aware of and start running better!”

“I live in the Gallatin Valley and have 2 ponies and a miniature mule. The day I met Lu changed my view of feeding and caring for horses. One of my ponies had 2 stringhalt operations which have helped, but have not totally cured the problem.  Lu comes every 2 weeks to perform equine massage and I am hopeful I will be able to start riding again. In addition, her knowledge of what and how much feed to give the horses has noticeably reduced weight and accelerated activity and well-being.”

“Lu was a “savior” in helping me treat my Icelandic horse, Darri. After her initial consultation, she diagnosed that he had a sore back. So, she recommeded a horse chiropractor, than a “horse whisperer” for training, and along with her wonderful massage therapy on Darri, he is a changed horse and 200% better! Thanks Lu, for all your expertise and caring!”
